Nestled between the Appalachians and the Blue Ridge Mountains is the Shenandoah Valley, where you will find Shenandoah Memorial Park. The large oak trees and the glistening water that shimmers across the pond create quite a peaceful setting. Robert Casey originated this cemetery in 1957.

Families love the beautiful setting of peace that comes from being nestled near the Blue Ridge Mountains. The openness gives an invitation to all to visit. Our first mausoleum garden contains a chapel, available to all, regardless of burial preference, and grew to be so popular that we now have six additional gardens. The cemetery has eight more featured gardens, including a monumental veterans garden where we honor our veterans twice a year on Memorial Day and Veterans Day. The VFW puts on a program in our Veterans Garden, for which several hundred visitors attend. Our display of over three hundred-fifty casket flags for the veterans who are buried within the cemetery is quite an impressive sight. Shenandoah provides the beautiful final resting place that your loved ones deserve.

Patsy Cline, better known to family and friends as Virginia Hensley Dick is buried here. (For those of you who do not know, she was a famous female country music star.) Her husband, Charles, and their children dedicated our front gates to her in 1963. In addition to this, a bell tower was installed near our beautiful pond by her fan club.
Many consider the grounds to be beautiful in their own right. We are proud of this, and take seriously the responsibility of maintaining its artistic and natural beauty, which is why we memorials are throughout our thirty-three acres that makes our cemetery uniquely insure that a portion of the cost of a burial site is set aside for perpetual care.
