If you had to describe Riverside Cemetery in one word, it would be peace. We have 55 acres of beautiful, rolling hills, winding roads, and mature trees. Nestled between a quiet residential neighborhood and the Schuylkill River, there is no traffic or noise. There is only the occasional train whistle and the singing of birds. We have beauty in all four seasons and the most majestically stunning sunsets, especially in the fall. As you look over the cemetery at a distance, you will be reminded of the many individuals and families who are memorialized here, each with their own unique granite or bronze monuments. The monuments serve as a visual remembrance of the past generations resting here, and emphasize every person’s own style and taste.

Founded in 1894, we continue to be a very active cemetery today. We take pride in our caring, personal staff that strives to meet all of your needs. We encourage you to stop by and take a look: you may be driving by us everyday and not even know that we are here, and we would love it if you came and visited. We hold that you will be pleasantly surprised if you drive or walk through our grounds. We are here to serve our families, and we are honored to provide a bridge from our heritage to our present, and from our present to our future generations.
