Located in the desirable west end of Allentown, Grandview Cemetery offers a Fend Shui Garden and sprawling grounds with a dedicated family service staff. Grandview Cemetery is situated on 55 acres of impeccable landscaped grounds, surrounded by rolling hills and Pennsylvania farmlands.

During the first part of the 20th century, one of Allentown’s most thriving industries was breweries. Horlancher Brewery, owned by the Horlacher family, was instrumental in sponsoring Grandview’s first community mausoleum. Memorialized here is Max Hess, founder of the world renowned Hess Brother’s department stores, who is entombed here in his own private family mausoleum. His personal motto was, “Be the first, be the best.” Also buried here is Felice Lyne, a world-famous opera singer, and Sarah Knauss, who was 119 when she passed in 1999, thus holding the title of the world’s oldest living person.
