Floral Hills Garden of Memories is located in Sissonville, West Virginia, on Sissonville Drive, just ten miles north of Charleston. Floral Hills was established in 1961, and opened with only two gardens, The Garden of Christus and the Garden of Everlasting Life. In 1962 the Garden of Prayer and the Field of Honor where opened, and we are proud to say that we will give any living veteran a free space.

In the mid 1980′s the Mausoleum of Love was built, and it was a simple, plain but elegant building. Today a beautiful Chapel of Peace has been added, with a breezeway connecting the two buildings. The Chapel was opened Memorial Day 1997, making the mausoleum the most beautiful one of its kind in the Kanawha Valley. In the breezeway is a lovely raised columbaria. Inside the chapel there are glassed front cremation niches in which cremation urns may be placed to memorialize your loved one in the most dignified way. In 1998 we opened the Garden of Love, and we now also have the Garden of Devotion, in which the traditional granite monument may be used. The rest of the gardens are the flat bronze memorials.

We have Private Estate Row, which is reserved for personal family mausoleums for the discriminating, to give you prestige you have earned. Each year on the first Saturday in December we hold our annual Luminary Service to remember our loved ones during the holidays. 1997 was a very big year for Floral Hills; we also opened Faithful Friends Pet Cemetery for those very important members of your family
Many consider the grounds to be beautiful in their own right. We are proud of this, and take seriously the responsibility of maintaining its artistic and natural beauty, which is why we insure that a portion of the cost of a burial site is set aside for perpetual care.
