Purchasing Opening-and-Closing Services is necessary for in-ground burial (casket or cremation urn), mausoleum crypt entombment, and mausoleum cremation niche entombment
The opening-and-closing of the grave is a service performed by the cemetery at the time of ground burial (casket or urn) or mausoleum entombment (casket or urn).
Ground Burial: the service includes opening-up the ground, preparing the burial site for the service, filling in the land once the burial is complete, and landscaping the area to ensure the site’s appearance is restored and beautified.
Mausoleum Crypt and Niche (cremation urn) entombment: the service includes opening the crypt or niche, and then closing the crypt or niche after placement of the casket or cremation urn.
